Media Arts Director

The overall responsibilities for this role will be to oversee all elements of filming, editing, and livestreaming for Sunday morning services at RCC, as well as other special events which may occur throughout the year. 

Big Picture

  • Creative control over visual broadcasts and related sound elements
  • Proactively seek meaningful elements to help church engage in worship and community
  • Work with pastor, staff, and worship leaders to plan the order of service
  • Meet with ministry team leaders, pastor, or staff to discuss filming needs as they arise and determining the purpose and vision for each video
  • Film, edit, upload, and manage videos as needed
  • Recruit, train, and schedule media team volunteers for operating computers, sound, cameras, and editors
  • Care for and update computers, software, cameras, etc. as related to filming and livestreaming
  • Exhibit dependability and integrity as a representative of the Reading City Church

Other Responsibilities

  • Pray at least an hour a week for Reading City Church
  • Pursue your relationship with Jesus by having regular devotion times
  • Financially support RCC through regular tithes and offerings
  • Embrace collaborating with RCC staff and filling in gaps with needs beyond the ministry's purview
  • Willing to serve most Sunday mornings

Experience and Values

  • Approximately 2 years of film or visual design experience
  • Enjoy developing teams and relationships
  • Some experience and comfort with working with a variety of personalities/viewpoints

Other things you should know...

Expected hours: 15 per week
You will need to be available on most Sunday mornings.
